Examinees should review The CELBAN Centre’s
Policies and Procedures before registering for their test. This document explains critical information relating to the test experience.
Fees
Test Fee
The CELBAN test fee is
CAN$ 425. There is no tax on CELBAN as it is a requirement for professional registration. This fee covers the CELBAN Computer Based Test (CBT) for Listening, Reading and Writing, and the CELBAN Speaking Test.
Test Cancellation Fee
The CELBAN test cancellation fee is
CAN$ 125. Registered examinees must submit a
Test Cancellation Request Form if they wish to cancel their CELBAN test. The request must be received a minimum of 20 business days before the first confirmed scheduled test appointment in order to qualify for a partial refund (a CAN$ 125 administrative fee applies).
Additional Test Result Fee
A fee of
CAN$ 35 will be charged for each additional Official Test Result request. Requests for additional test results must be made using the
Additional Test Result Request Form. Examinees should allow 5 business days for this transaction to be fulfilled.
Test Rescore Fee
A fee of
CAN$ 125 will be charged for each rescore request of the Speaking or Writing Tests. If the test results change for the requested component as a result of the rescore, you will be refunded the rescore fee. Requests to have a rescore completed must be submitted using the
Test Rescore Request Form.
Rescores for the Listening and Reading Tests are not offered. These two test components are electronically recorded multiple choice questions and there is no possibility of human error. If a technical issue were to occur during an online test, the proctor will send a report detailing the error to The CELBAN Centre. The CELBAN Centre will review incident reports on a case by case basis to determine whether a data capture error occurred and reach out to the examinee to discuss next steps. Examinees can also opt to submit an
Exceptional Circumstance Exemption Request Form to appeal their result.
