Examinees should review The CELBAN Centre’s Policies and Procedures
before registering for their test. This document explains critical information relating to the test experience.
The CELBAN is delivered in two parts:
- The CELBAN Speaking Test (virtual interview)
- The CELBAN Listening, Reading, and Writing Tests (Computer Based Test, CBT)
Registering for CELBAN opens eligibility for both parts of the test.
Register for CELBAN using the online registration form
, where an examinee will select their virtual interview appointment time and date. A confirmation email will be sent to the examinee’s email address from The CELBAN Centre to confirm the appointment time chosen. A follow up email will be sent within three (3) business days that will include a confirmation number and instructions to enable examinees to proceed in scheduling their CELBAN CBT appointment through Prometric.
The CELBAN CBT appointment must be scheduled within 14 days of the CELBAN Speaking Test. This can be either 14 days before or 14 days after the interview. If both parts of the test are not completed within 14 days, the results of the test will not be validated and an Official Test Result will not be provided.

Each examinee will be responsible for:
- arriving to the testing appointments at the times specified to do so in the confirmation emails received; and,
- meeting all of the CELBAN testing requirements as outlined on the website and agreed upon at the time of registering in order to complete both parts of the CELBAN successfully.
The examiner or proctor will go through a set of check-in procedures to confirm that each examinee has met all of the requirements in order to proceed. They reserve the right to terminate a test at any point if the CELBAN testing requirements cannot be met or have been compromised during a testing appointment.
