Practice CELBAN Speaking Test 2

Welcome to Practice Speaking Test 2. In this practice test, a series of videos include virtual examiners who will ask questions and provide role play prompts.

Here is a summary of what you can expect during the Practice Speaking Test:

1. Each practice test consists of a series of video clips, where a virtual examiner will pose questions and give role play instructions.

2. You will answer the questions and follow the instructions for each video clip. We recommend recording your responses. Click here to learn more about how to record your responses with Zoom.

3. There is a suggested length of time for each response. Try to answer the question within the allotted time.

4.  After you have responded to the series of questions, review your video recording, and evaluate your responses using the self-assessment checklist here.

This practice test takes about 10 minutes to complete. You may begin recording now.

Part 1: Describe a pastime or hobby. You have approximately 1 minute to respond.



Part 2: Introduce yourself to the patient and discover the reason for their visit. You have approximately 2 minutes to respond.



Part 3: Acknowledge the patient’s concerns and ask appropriate follow-up questions. You have approximately 2 minutes to respond.



Part 4: Ask a few additional questions to learn about the patient’s lifestyle factors. You have approximately 2 minutes to respond.



Part 5: What is your opinion of family members helping elderly patients in long-term care facilities? You have approximately 2 minutes to respond.

 

Part 6: Why does family get involved? How can it work well? You have approximately 2 minutes to respond.
